Limited Run Games – April 14th releases, Ray Gigant #Vita and Flinthook #PS4.

Courtesy of the good folks over at Limited Run Games, April 14th sees a PS Vita cartridge release of Ray Gigant, alongside the physical PS4 release of Flinthook.

Limited Run Games team up with publisher Acttil to bring us Ray Gigant, a much anticipated (often teased) release of Bandai Namco’s epic RPG adventure and dungeon crawler, developed by Experience Inc.

Ray Gigant is a unique dungeon crawler RPG which combines dungeon crawling adventure with Japanese visual novel like story telling. Players will first be introduced to the gripping tale of Ichiya who is a young fighter shrouded in mystery. As the story progresses the player will be introduced to new characters which you later get to experience as the main character. There is a total of 3 different tales told from the perspectives of Ichiya, Kyle and Nil.

Unlike ordinary turn-based RPG battles, Ray Gigant adopts a unique style where you will be fighting massive enemies from different distances and perspectives. Your party is comprised of 3 characters, each with their own unique abilities to engage in 3-way view battles. You can also use the rhythm-based Slash Beat system to unleash deadly attacks while feeling the fate of the heroes and heroine resonate through their bodies! – LRG newsletter.

Limited Run also continue their partnership with Canadian developers Tribute Games, Flinthook calls upon all action platform loving, treasure hunting, space pirates to save the galaxy!

Flinthook is the latest game from the incredible team at Tribute Games. Tribute Games is the developer responsible for Mercenary Kings, Curses ‘N Chaos, Wizorb, and more. Many of the developers who founded Tribute Games were the primary members of the development team that made the incredible (and totally unavailable) Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game.

Flinthook is an action platformer rogue-like game, where players take the role of Captain Flinthook as he plunders procedurally generated ships for treasure, and seek out the pirate lords of the Cluster Clan. Using Captain Flinthook’s grappling hook and gun, you’re able to move around and battle enemies with style and grace. – LRG newsletter.

Both games go on sale at 10 AM Eastern Time, with a second batch going up at 6 PM for anyone missing out. Ray Gigant is limited to 5,000 PS Vita (PS TV compatible) copies worldwide, priced at $39.99.

Flinthook is limited to 4,500 PlayStation 4 copies worldwide and priced at $24.99. A soundtrack bundle is also available for $39.99 – that OST is scored by Pat Bourgeault, folks can check out 3 of those title tracks here.

Do not stand on ceremony if looking to buy, Limited Run Games don’t reprint titles, once these are sold out – that’s it, gone. Be sure to follow their social media for real time updates, info and when sales go live.
